Kirk "Coach" Parker was involved in youth sports in Agawam for over 30 years. He is one of the founders of Agawam Youth Football and also the Suburban Amateur Football League. Coach Parker retired from the Agawam School System in 2007 where he was a physical education teacher at Robinson Park School and Clark School for over 32 years. Coach Parker also coached wrestling at Enfield High School for over 25 years, winning numerous state championships and is in the Enfield High School Hall of Fame.

On October 28, 2007 The football field at Memorial Field on School Street was dedicated to Kirk Parker and now Kirk Parker Field is the home of the Warriors.!!!!!!

Coach Parker passed away on January 12, 2019.  He touched many lives and will be missed by all..!!

The Agawam Youth Football Association continues with Coach Paker's yearly tradition of the "Burning of the Shoe" to mark the end of another football season and of course his tradition of passing out Snickers bars.!!
